After an observation visit to Mt. Lavinia Court Complex, the Minister of Justice, Ali Sabry held discussions with the judges of the court which was followed by a discussion with the lawyers and the court staff.
During his discussions, the Justice Minister stated that the government has allocated Rs. 20 billion in 2021 for the development of the judicial system and such development work should be initiated in consultation with the judges and lawyers.
The Minister informed that a special program has been launched to digitize the entire judiciary within four years and that modern technology should be utilized to develop a system to further enhance the capacity of judges as well as the judiciary in the future.
